A fire Nov. 1 caused $100,000 in damage to the Taco Bell on Route 1 near Rehoboth Beach.
The fire was reported about 9 p.m. while the building was still occupied, said John Galaska, chief deputy state fire marshal.
When firefighters from Rehoboth Beach and other companies arrived, he said, they found flames coming from a structural wall at an entrance area of the building. Galaska said the fire originated in the structural wall near the entrance, but the cause remains under investigation at this time. There were no reported injuries. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact the Sussex Division of the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office at 302-856-5600.
