Police: Greenwood man stole items from Lewes Home Depot

A Greenwood man was charged with shoplifting Nov. 13 after police say he stole items from the Home Depot in Lewes.

Police responded to the Home Depot on Route 1 about 10 a.m. for a report that a man had stolen items from the store and fled in a red two-tone pickup truck, police said. A trooper patrolling Route 1 near Wescoats Road observed a truck that matched the description of the shoplifter, and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Michael Stulir, and police took him into custody without incident.

Stulir was charged with felony shoplifting over $1,500, arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on his own recognizance.
