Rehoboth city hall closed Nov. 24

Rehoboth shade tree meeting canceled

The Rehoboth Beach Parks and Shade Tree Commission meeting set for Monday, Nov. 27, has been canceled due to lack of agenda items, according to a city notice.  For information, contact the city at 302-227-6181 or information@cityofrehoboth.com. 

Lewes bike group to meet Nov. 28

The Lewes Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28 at city hall.

Rehoboth BoA to hold two hearings Nov. 27

The Rehoboth Beach Board of Adjustment has scheduled a meeting for 2:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 27, in the city hall commissioners room, 229 Rehoboth Ave. There are two hearings on the agenda.

The first is for a variance request at 149B Henlopen Ave. The owner is seeking a variance in rear yards to allow for an encroachment of 8 feet into the rear-yard setback.

The second is for a variance request at 52 and 54 Kent St. The owner is seeking a variance in side yards to allow for an encroachment ranging from 0.2 to 0.4 feet, or 12.88 square feet, into the eastern side-yard setback.

Sussex County Council not meeting rest of November

Sussex County Council will not meet Tuesday, Nov. 28. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown.
