A 63-year-old Milton woman died Jan. 30 after she was struck by a car in the parking lot of Weis Markets in Lewes.
Delaware State Police said at 3:22 p.m., a 2015 black Jeep Cherokee driven by an 86-year-old Lewes man was traveling southbound in the Weis parking lot. As he was driving, the woman walked into the lane of travel. The Jeep continued southbound and struck the pedestrian. Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died. Police are withholding her name until her family is notified. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.
