The Milton Chamber of Commerce has announced its plans for Shop Small Saturday, Dec. 2, and Artists Sunday, Dec. 3, in the Milton and Harbeson region.
Consumers are encouraged to shop, dine and use services at small, locally owned businesses in their communities, helping to boost local economies and celebrate the contributions of small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Karen Falk, Milton Chamber of Commerce executive director, said, “This initiative serves as a reminder of the importance of our locally owned businesses and their role in shaping our vibrant communities. Our goal is to inspire residents and visitors to focus on supporting local small businesses, not just during the holidays but also year-round. Shop Small Saturday reminds us that local business owners are members of our community, and they add to the vitality of this special place we call home.”
Artists’ Sunday promotes and supports artisans and craftspeople by encouraging people to seek out and buy from them during the holiday season.
Falk said, “This national initiative aims to recognize and support our creative community, providing a platform for artists to showcase their work and for shoppers to discover and purchase unique handmade items. We look forward to building onto Artists’ Sunday in the years ahead, but for now, we remind our community to visit and shop the Milton Arts Guild and local galleries for holiday gifts, and visit the Milton Theatre to enjoy a live performance, and/or consider purchasing tickets to future shows as gifts for friends and family.”
