After a nearly two-year tenure as executive director of the Milton Chamber of Commerce, Karen Falk recently announced her resignation.
Acknowledging the important role Falk has played in the organization’s growth and development, Milton chamber board members expressed appreciation for the valuable contributions she has made. With sincere gratitude for the wonderful job Falk has done and utmost regard for her as an individual, board members understand and respect her decision.
Falk’s decision to resign stems from her desire to prioritize family time with her husband Jim, daughter Shannon and son James.
Falk brought her extensive experience in tourism leadership and economic development to the chamber. During her tenure, Falk markedly elevated the chamber’s presence, instilling a sense of pride in the region among businesses, residents and visitors alike. She also helped establish valuable connections with various organizations across Delmarva. Under her stewardship, membership more than doubled. A new visitors center, currently undergoing renovation, was secured, and networking and outreach programming expanded. Falk’s advocacy efforts extended statewide, paving the way for enduring opportunities throughout the region.
“Guiding the chamber has been an incredible journey marked by growth, collaboration and a profound sense of fulfillment within our community. I am thankful and grateful for the partnership with Anne Brown, previous board president, whom I worked with very closely with up to my departure; the chamber’s board of directors; Town of Milton leadership; businesses; nonprofit organizations; and residents. These experiences will forever hold deep significance for me,” said Falk.
