There was once a time when women were a minority in real estate and even were barred from joining local Realtor organizations. Since its inception in 1938, the Women’s Council of Realtors has grown into a nationwide community of 13,000 real estate professionals across more than 250 local and state networks in nearly 40 states.
The council prides itself on being a business resource in Realtor communities, with volunteers trained to position their groups effectively. Members are part of a dynamic network that not only excels in the real estate industry but also significantly contributes to the community. Advocacy initiatives are also a key part of council activities, ensuring that members have a voice in the industry.
WCOR membership is highly valued by both members and the industry at large. The council focuses on advancing the real estate industry through education and development opportunities, networking and an unrivaled culture of events aimed at developing a vibrant community of leaders who are shaping the future of real estate.
