Lewes Lights registration is open for those who are willing to decorate their homes and businesses, and join the driving tour map to share the holiday glow with neighbors and visitors.
Any home or business east of Route 1 can sign up to be included on the this year’s freestyle tour map at LewesLights.org.
The WOW-Wonderful Homes West of One page returns this year, and owners of illuminated homes in the 19958 West of One area can submit photos and a description to be listed on the website.
Participants are asked to have properties illuminated in time for the Lewes Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 7, and to keep their lights shining through New Year’s Eve.
In year five, Debra Evalds, Lewes Lights chair, is asking for continued help from the community to put on this pop-up light show.
“Lewes Lights does not fundraise, has no sponsors, and is always free for light peepers. Decorating is a huge donation in itself, and I am grateful to every person who has participated and helped this grassroots effort shine brightly for the last four years,” said Evalds.” My Christmas wish is that new homes and businesses, along with existing ones, will decorate and register to be on the Lewes Lights tour map. Whenever Christmas lights go up, another neighbor joins in and Christmas spirit spreads, so let’s make Lewes glow together. Homes can be simply decorated or decked out, small or large, because they shine brighter together.”
