Le Macaron French Pastries celebrated its official grand opening on Rehoboth Avenue June 25.
The business offers a great variety in French pastries, including macarons, cakes, confectionary, glacé and croissants that are baked hourly. Le Macaron also sells Turkish coffee Lavazza and the French tea Palais des Thés.
Le Macaron is a nationwide franchise with more than 74 stores. The first establishment was founded by the Guillem family in Paris, France. Owners Lisa Carangio and Ayhan Calik brought the franchise to Delaware.
“So far the customer response seems to be positive,” said Calik.
The June 25 grand opening featured live music, free macarons, a raffle, games, special guests and more.
Le Macaron is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. The hours of operation may change at the end of the summer season.
Carangio and Calik have plans to open two more stores, in downtown Lewes and on Coastal Highway near Rehoboth Beach in the future.
