Radio Rehoboth
Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective will perform for a Coastal Concerts audience at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at Cape Henlopen High School auditorium, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes. The concert will be preceded at 1 p.m. by Lani Spahr and his Performance Insights.
Kaleidoscope was dreamed up in 2017 by Philadelphia native and Delmarva favorite Elena Urioste with her pianist/composer husband and playing partner, Tom Poster.
The collective’s flexible roster features many of today’s most inspirational musicians, both instrumentalists and singers. Its creative programming is marked by a commitment to celebrating diversity of all forms with a desire to unearth lesser-known gems of the repertoire.
Kaleidoscope broadcasts regularly on BBC Radio 3 and is regularly featured at Urioste’s own summer festival, Chamber Music by the Sea, centered in Berlin and Snow Hill, Md.
The Dec. 9 concert will feature works by Franz Schubert, Ernö Dohnányi, Jessie Montgomery and Florence Price.
To take advantage of the larger capacity high school auditorium while celebrating the holiday season, Coastal Concerts is offering a buy-one-get-one deal. Every ticket bought comes with one free ticket.
For anyone show purchased tickets previously and would like to request a free ticket for each one purchased, contact Monica Han at monezra@gmail.com.
