On Tuesday, Rafael Nadal waved an emotional farewell to the Madrid Open after losing in straight sets to Jiri Lehecka. The 37-year-old has indicated he plans to retire after the 2024 season, so that could have very likely been Nadal’s final professional match in the Spanish capital.
