Happy hour set at Lightship Overfalls May 23

The Overfalls Foundation will host its first canalside happy hour of the year from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 23, at the Lightship Overfalls, 219 Pilottown Road, Lewes.

Attendees can listen to the music of Cathy Gorman, have a beer or a glass of wine, and enjoy the opportunity to see the ship. Organizers will also be celebrating the ship’s “birthday,” which is traditionally the anniversary of the ship’s christening, the first time it touched water in 1938. Both the ship and the store will be open to the public. There is no admission charge, and donations are welcome.
