A Greenwood man, 66, faces his fifth driving under the influence after police found him asleep in his truck Oct. 30 in Milton.
Police responded at 3:37 p.m. to the Valero gas station on Deep Branch Road and found a man slumped over the driver’s wheel of his Ford F-150 pick-up truck. A trooper woke up the driver, Johnny Diogo, who showed signs of impairment, police said. The trooper conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Testing on Diogo, police said, and searched the car finding drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Diogo was taken to Troop 7, where a computer check revealed that he had four previous DUI convictions. He was charged with felony 5th offense DUI, and other drug offenses. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $3,200 secured bond.
