A former Girl Scouts treasurer faces charges after police say she stole more than $12,000 from a local troop.
Delaware State Police began investigating in January after a Girl Scouts troop representatives contacted them about theft of funds, police said. Following a 10-month investigation, police said, troopers learned that Kelly M. Raab, 52, of Frankford, issued and cashed fraudulent checks, and made unauthorized payment card transactions during her time as treasurer with the Girl Scouts from January 2018 to November 2022. The total loss amounted to more than $12,000.
On Oct. 12, Rabb turned herself in at Troop 4 and was charged with felony theft over $1,500. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on her own recognizance.
