The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause and origin of a fire that burned a home Oct. 25 on Shingle Point Road between Milton and Georgetown.
Firefighters from Indian River, Georgetown, Milton and Lewes were on their way to a training event at the Delaware State Fire School in Georgetown when they were alerted at 5:32 p.m. of a working fire at 19047 Shingle Point Road, said Indian River fire officials.
Fire and smoke were coming out of the structure when firefighters arrived, and there was a report of downed electrical wires.
