A Felton man faces gun charges after a Jan. 23 traffic stop on Route 1 north of Lewes.
A trooper patrolling Route 1 near Eagle Crest Road at 7:10 a.m. pulled over Alonzo Coker, 32, for speeding and discovered his driver’s license was revoked, police said.
The trooper then saw a firearm hidden under items on the floorboard, police said, and they further learned Coker was prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Coker was taken into custody without incident, transported to Troop 7 and charged with felony carrying a concealed firearm, and other gun and traffic charges. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $25,101 cash bond.
