DelDOT work to cause Route 1 lane closures starting March 4

The Delaware Department of Transportation will be installing variable message signs within the Route 1 median from about 1,000 feet south of Postal Lane/Melson Road near Lewes to the median of Route 1 at Oakwood Street from Monday, March 4, through mid-April, weather permitting. This work will require lane closures on Route 1 for workers to access the median.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in work zones and expect minor delays while in the area.
