Committee advances plan for educator raises

The Public Education Compensation Committee presented a plan Jan. 11 that would increase starting salaries for teachers over a four-year period to nearly $60,000. “This puts us in a very competitive position,” said Mark Holodick, secretary for the Delaware Department of Education.
