Lewes man, 77, dies in scooter crash

A 77-year-old Lewes man died July 29 while riding a scooter. The crash happened at 4:42 p.m. when Chester Poslusny was riding a Wolf Brand scooter eastbound on Clay Road approaching Marsh Road when a Honda driven by a 19-year-old woman from Cheswold turned left onto Marsh Road in the scooter’s path, police said. Fiery Route 9 crash creates congestion

, , , , A crash on Route 9 near Old Vine Boulevard west of Five Points slowed traffic in the area.  The incident occurred about 2:12 p.m., July 30, west of Lewes when a vehicle crashed into an apartment building and caught on fire. Three vehicles were involved in the incident. A building at The Vineyards also caught fire. More information will be added when it is released.

Two recent developments are impacting progress on the proposed Roosevelt Landing subdivision in Lewes.
