Fiery Route 9 crash creates congestion

, , , , A crash on Route 9 near Old Vine Boulevard west of Five Points slowed traffic in the area.  The incident occurred about 2:12 p.m., July 30, west of Lewes when a vehicle crashed into an apartment building and caught on fire. Three vehicles were involved in the incident. A building at The Vineyards also caught fire. More information will be added when it is released.

Roosevelt Landing development gets extension in Lewes

Two recent developments are impacting progress on the proposed Roosevelt Landing subdivision in Lewes. Mayor and city council approved a request July 8 from Pennoni & Associates engineers for a one-year extension on the final site plan. Rehoboth denies St. Edmond request to cut down 12 trees
