Advanced watercolor class series kicks off Nov. 13

The Rehoboth Art League will present Advancing in Watercolors: Fall Themes with local artist Gerilyn Gaskill from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesdays, Nov. 13, Nov. 20, Nov. 27, and Dec. 4, at 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres.

Participants will dive into creating stunning landscapes using techniques like wet into wet, glazing, dry brush, splattering and more. Scenes include changing trees and a winding road through the woods, local barns and fields with emphasis long fall shadows, and mountains with distant snow-capped peaks, using negative painting to create gleaming tips.

The class is available for students age 18 and older at all skill levels; register at rehobothartleague.org.
