Pussy Riot have announce a series of North American shows dubbed Riot Days. The lineup of Maria “Masha” Alyokhina, Diana Burkot, Olga Broisova and Alina Petrova will perform with a “significant portion” of proceeds going to the Ukrainian Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital. Find the collective’s dates below.
In 2022, Alyokhina fled Russia amid President Vladimir V. Putin’s war on Ukraine and crackdown on dissidents. The New York Times ran a piece outlining how Alyokhina managed to make her way out of the country while on the government’s “wanted” list. The Riot Days shows do not include Nadya Tolokonnikova, whose performances and recordings under the Pussy Riot name are unrelated to Alyokhina’s.
