Frantic Music Project, a Milton-based nonprofit, is sponsoring 12 Months for Madi, a series of mini-fundraiser events to benefit Delaware-based musicians Brandon and Madi Watkins. The two were involved in a terrible accident last year while on tour with their band, Year of the Knife. To date, more than $5,500 has been raised toward the organization’s goal of $12,000 for the Watkinses. The funds are intended to help to cover some of the couple’s living expenses as Madi continues her recovery.

A 50/50 raffle drawing will be held at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, June 2, at Brimming Horn Meadery, 28615 Lewes-Georgetown Highway, Milton. Tickets may be purchased during the Frantic Music open mic event from 3 to 6 p.m., June 2, at Brimming Horn, or during business hours at Frantic Frets Music & Antiques, 26370 Broadkill Road, Milton.Tickets may also be purchased online at franticmusic.org/12-months-for-madi until 6:15 p.m., June 2. Three winners will be selected and share 50% of the pot as follows: first prize, 25%; second prize 15%; and third prize, 10%. The remainder will go directly to the Watkinses.

Also during the month of June, the Madi-A-Thon fundraiser will take place. Individuals and teams may sign up and commit to an activity of their choice, and they must complete it by Friday, June 28. Participants will reach out to their networks and ask for pledges for their activity, which may be a flat donation, or a per-activity amount based on the number of laps, miles or items completed. Team members do not have to live in the area to participate, and the challenges may be done anytime as long as they are completed by June 28. For example, someone can choose to walk 20 miles, and walk one mile per day. Signups are open now. Prizes will be awarded to the team raising the most money.
