An Ellendale man and two teenagers face charges following an early morning shooting May 8 in Ellendale, while police continue to search for a fourth man.
Police responded to a home at 12:31 a.m. in the 13000 block of South Old State Road for a report of a disorderly incident and shots fired. Police said when troopers arrived they found a woman who had been shot in her leg after a gray SUV had stopped on New Hope Road. Police said the vehicle occupants argued with people in the backyard of the house and fired shots at them, hitting the woman and the house. There were several people in the house, including a child. The woman was treated and released from a local hospital for her injuries.
Troopers located the SUV a short time later, police said, and arrested Isaiah Yunas, 20, and two 17-year-olds.
Yunas and one of the teens were charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, six counts of first-degree reckless endangering, felony second-degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief under $1,000. Yunas was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $46,000 secured bond. The teen was committed to Stevenson House Detention Center in default of a $50,500 secured bond.
The second teen was charged with six counts of first-degree reckless endangering, felony second-degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief under $1,000. The teen was released to the custody of a parent.
