Exploring gouache painting classes to start Feb. 4

The Rehoboth Art League will offer a weekly gouache class for beginners and intermediate students from noon to 3 p.m., Sundays, Feb. 4 to 25, at 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres.

Gouache is closely related to watercolor. It is quick-drying and vibrant with color. Students in this class will explore working with gouache paint from beginning steps to creating polished and well-designed pieces. Participants will learn to work with flat washes, blending and detailing. They will create small pieces in each class to explore different methods and experiment with this medium. The registration fee is $160 for RAL members and $195 for nonmembers.
