RAL to host watercolor workshop Feb. 3-4

A Land, Sea, Sky Watercolor Workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 3 and 4, at the Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres.

Appropriate for intermediate and advanced watercolor artists, the workshop will focus on composition, value and subject editing while students create a beach-themed painting. Working with a limited palette, the class will explore techniques and materials for creating dramatic paintings.

The sky and sea are not always stormy, filled with clouds or big waves. Guest artist Joe Milligan will teach participants how to paint seas and skies that will enhance any subject and can also be the primary focus of a painting. The registration fee is $350 for RAL members and $360 for nonmembers.
